Dr Peter Mercouris is a General and Musculoskeletal radiologist who has been in private practice with Lake Smit & Partners in Durban, South Africa since 1994 and is the current Senior Managing Partner, a position he has held since 2013.

He is a member of SAMSIG (South African Musculoskeletal Imaging Group) and the ESSR (European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology), having obtained the EDiMSK in 2012 and the new diploma in 2019.

He is married to Nicky and they have 3 children, Matthew, Luke and Emma.
